Josh and Liam Blogging again

Today we had a mini assembly for Mrs Stanton to hand out certificates.  We don't shake hands anymore so today they used a foot bump.

This week we made 3D hands.  We talked about compassion and created the hands to represent “helping hands”.  We used straight and curved lines to make them look 3D.

This is the desk layout for covid 19 so we don't breath on each other.

Term 2

Kia ora,

Week one of term two is almost over.

Just in case anyone was wondering why there have been no new posts lately, I thought I had better add a little reminder that we are still using Google Classroom to communicate during the lockdown period.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me,
best wishes to all

Day One

Tēnā Koutou Tamariki Mā

I hope that you have been settling in at home over the past couple of days and that you are all doing okay.  This is my first day at home with my family, as I have been at School working with a different group of children and helping to prepare the School for a short break.

Thank you to those of you who have already started sharing your work at home with me 😁.  I have really enjoyed reading your stories and I'm looking forward to reading more.

For the remainder of this week I will be putting some activities into our Google Classroom for you to complete.  Do not worry if you can not do everything or if there is something else that you would rather do.  Just try your best at whatever you do, do what you can and remember that making mistakes is awesome.

You are then on holiday 😎.  The School holiday break has been moved forward and starts this Friday (Rāmere).  The final day of the holiday period is Tuesday (Rātū) 14th.  This means that you can expect to see more work appearing in our Google Classroom again from the 15th of April (Paenga Whāwhā).  All going well I will then be seeing you all back in class the following Monday.

Although I will not be on my computer all day, I will be checking my emails each day (except over the holiday period) and will respond to any questions as soon as I am able to.

To share your work with me you will need to create a Google Document or Slide. For art work, creations or handwritten work you may need to take a photo (video) which can be attached the document or emailed to me. Remember - just do what you can, don't worry if you can not share something with me. I can always look at it when we get back to class.

Take care of yourselves and your families.
See you soon,
Nga Mihi

Stay safe & remember to wash hands after sneezing, coughing & going to the toilet. To stay safe from covid 19.

Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds.  That is about as long as singing Happy Birthday twice.
Use a tissue or your elbow when sneezing or coughing.
We often touch our faces without noticing. It is a good idea to keep our hands cleam
